Guano Apes in Ronda | TivoliVredenburg

De Duitse rockband Guano Apes brak in 1997 door met hun debuutalbum Proud Like A God en de daarvan afkomstige hits Open Your Eyes en Lords Of The Boards. Hun opwindende mix van grunge, nu-metal en rap evolueerde naar het wat meer poppy en elektronisch geluid op hun meest recente (vijfde) album Offline (2014), maar wat blijft is het hyper-energieke. ‘We staan dichter bij de aap dan bij AI,’ aldus Guano Apes – de band meldt dat ze in deze digitale wereld terug willen naar het menselijke: ‘Met ons handgemaakte geluid willen we de innerlijke aap bevrijden.’ Kortom: dat wordt springen!
